Go to ur Mail Account


Click Options upper-right corner


Select Mail Options.


From the list on the left, click Accounts.


Click Add or edit an account – middle of the page.


In the box on the left, click Yahoo Mail.


Click Edit.


In the "FROM NAME:" box, type ur desire name


Click Save

Reply:You can change the FROM name and the REPLY TO address on the "General Preferences" page. The FROM name can't be blank but you can change it to anything including the email address itself.

You can create an alternate email address that will go to the same mailbox as your primary email ID. Just go to this page. http://edit.yahoo.com/config/list_alias .





The only alternative is to create a new account by first signing out and then at sign in create a new one.

Reply:Go to your email page and in the upper right side click on Options then on Mail Options. On the next page click on general preferences and at the top of the next page you can edit the name you want to use on All Out Going Emails. Be sure and click on the save button to save your changes.


Also if you are using a program such as Outlook, Thunderbird etc, you need to alter your name within your account option, otherwise that will still send out your old name because it bypasses the setting in Yahoo on the web
