How do I get my yahoo email to go through 'outlook'?

I tried to do it once and didn't succeed. So obviously I'm doing something wrong, or missing something.

How do I get my yahoo email to go through 'outlook'?
In your yahoo mail, they have an excellent tutorial under options. You dont need to get yahoo plus, atleast I dont.
Reply:Unless you subscriber to the "premium" pay services you can't. If you don't want to pay and still use outlook as your client check out gmail (mail.google.com).
Reply:you have to sign up for yahoo mail plus, a pay service. Then you will be able to get your yahoo mail through outlook
Reply:It all depends are u using the free or premium service.

If it's the second one,you have no problem with that but specifying the ips and all the other details in the account info. But if you're using the free service, you will need to download a s/w that will enable you to do so.

Ypops is one of the most famous though not quite stable.

How do I get rid of the chat window completely from my Yahoo email page?

Its just been added without me asking and its annoying. Even when I am invisible, people see me as online, so I just need rid of it again. If I wanted to chat I'd use Messenger. Grrr

How do I get rid of the chat window completely from my Yahoo email page?
Yahoo help screens say:

"How do I sign out of/disable chat?

• 1. Under “Chat ” on the left of the page, click the menu to the right of the words “I am”. This opens a pull-down menu.

• 2. Click Sign out of Chat .

Since Yahoo!7 Mail remembers your settings from session to session, you'll be signed out of chat until you change it."

I followed this and it seems to stay signed out OK so you can forget it's even there.

I also used the 'Settings' option under Chat to tell it to locate the chat window under my folders so it's less in the way and I don't even see it anymore.

I also wrote to Yahoo to tell them that they should give us an option to get rid of services we don't want....especially as I am on the paid Yahoo, not free version.
Reply:The answer below addresses the question I asked - thank you! Report Abuse

Reply:THESE INSTRUCTIONS DO NOT WORK

YAHOO MAKE IT EASIER TO REMOVE THE CHAT OUT OF THE EMAIL SECTION OR LOOSE ALOT OF PEOPLE

How does one edit a Yahoo email that has already been sent ?

i wrote a letter and ask someone to approve it before emailing it. I did this before saving it to drafts. I need to get it back and delete the paragraph asking him to approve it, and send it to the proper contact. any ideas?

How does one edit a Yahoo email that has already been sent ?
You cannot get it back, but what you can do is go into your "sent" mail folder and forward it to the proper contact. When you click "forward" it will go into edit mode and you can change it before you send it.
Reply:Once sent, an email cannot ever be retrieved back for editing.

The only solution to your problem is to send a second copy of your email - revised.
Reply:If your message was sent or not it will be in your Sent mail folder look at all mail its there somewhere. So if it was actually sent sent you can't edit it.

Good Luck!

You`ll have to take the header off the one in your sent folder. Put the correct recipients email address. Then resend.

What is up with the new format for yahoo email? I think that it is ridiculous it was fine just the way it was.

The folks at yahoo think that they are making improvements by making these major overhauls to the system. If it is not broke don't fix it. Makes sense to me.

Any change usually makes people a little uncomfortable initially, cause it moves them away from what they're used to and comfortable with. A certain amount of change is sometimes good---***IF***---it improves the original situation.

I'm not so sure this recent update did that overall. OH, sure---a couple of the changes are good----some are "so-so", but leave us scrambling to come up with solutions or a "work around"----and some of them are just flat out and out, "a pain in the butt", or unworkable.

It might not have been so bad (or unpopular) if Yahoo would have (first) at least warned us, and/or, posted some "hints" on how to adjust and use the new changes to our benefit (if any).

See this link for a partial list of changes.

Reply:I must have missed something. I haven't noticed a difference. It changed to the new look about a year ago or so, but if it has changed into ANOTHER format I've not noticed or whatever.
Reply:So you drive around in a chariot pulled by horses? Because if it was not broken, why did we ever invent the car?
