I'm talking about the body of the email itself and not as an attached file.

How to insert a picture in the body of an Yahoo email?
A lot of times you can drag and drop the photo into your email. I believe in many cases it will give the viewer the option to scan it anyway and it may show as an attachment as well. Just be careful to drop it into the text box... and you may have to format it to have text wrapping, just so the picture doesn't cover the words.
