How can i verify my new alternate yahoo email address?

i just made an alternate email through my current yahoo account. it says it needs to be verifyed and that it sent an email to the new account. the trouble is that i dont know how to get to it. i tried logging in to the new account with my original email addresses password but that did not work. please help me!

Reply:I'm trying to understand this. Ok, I don't think I got it..lol..but am gonna give it a try. Yahoo sends you an email to the alternate email address you made. Surely, that should be an account that is active and you should go to that alternate address to pick up the verification mail yahoo sent you and follow the steps it gives you.


To check your alternate address on Yahoo, you should go to "my account" and after you put in your password, on the site that comes up next, scroll down to where you see your alternate address. If you need to change it, click on "edit".
